It appears my shocks are not the Bilsteins. Can the SRC work WITHOUT Bilsteins?

Nope. Someone probably cheaped out and replaced the proper bilsteins with some other brand, which will not be compatible with the FX3 system.

Are the shocks just replaced and the actuators there?

If you think the price of the shocks are bad, wait til you price the actuators. Keep a watch on e-bay. Or maybe Phrogs can help you out with a set from a part out?

Do you have this kind of "actuators" on top of your shocks?

You need 4 of this actuators (one per shock) to make your FX3 system work.

If you don't have them, prepare to spend a lot of $$$ ...

Shocks can be obtained at about 700 to 800 $ a set on eBay or in major Corvette parts suppliers.

There are 2 different shock types, from MY 89 to 91 and from MY 92 to 96.

Actuators are all the same for all years (2 fronts + 2 rears).

Hopefully your actuators are still there but I doubt it unless the last owner tied them out of the way. A guy named Weburke over at the other forum is selling a Complete FX-3 system over on Corvette Forum. I suggust you look him up as these dont come up often for sale unless an FX-3 equipped car is parted out.

As others have stated, These shocks are about $185 a piece new plus shipping. Used working actuators are in the $500 range for a complete set and about $150 a piece. Welcome to the forum and tell Bill Goldcylon sent ya. GC
