I was researching performance chips for my 90 yesterday and it finally dawned on me that I probably already have one (i'm still learning about the car). When I got the car, the 1-4 was locked out and there is no upshift light.

I still have some idle issues though. Sometimes, not always, it doesn't drop to idle rpm's on hot restart and coasting to a stop with the clutch engaged. Both are resolved by tapping the accelerator.

Anyway, I went home last night and checked. Sure enough, I have a non-original prom or at least a recalibrated one. It's not the AYBK from GM which might explain the idle issue since that appears to be the main reason GM put the new chip out in the first place.

There is a red sticker on top with the following info.

T.C.C.
723 Upland Road
Mantauk, NY 11954
516-668-5780

There is also a sticker on the side that reads '90 ZR-1" with the date of 11 10 97 and a first intitial and last name (which I don't know if I should publish).

I did a search on T.C.C. and came up empty so I searched the phone number. The second result took me to the Performance/ZR-1 Mods page on ZR1.NET Registry! The number is associated with Corvette Consultant under PROMS. I tried calling the number but the message says they are not accepting calls.

I'm trying to find out what the calibration does/includes beside what I listed above. If I can't I'm probably going to order the Haibeck AYBKG PROM.

Is anyone familiar with Corvette Consultant or whoever programmed the chip?

You absolutely can't go wrong with a Haibec prom.
