View Full Version : Cars where I work

I thought I'd snap a couple pictures of the cars at work. The first was when I was parked next to a GT-R, and you can see how poor my old phone is for pictures:

Then I figured I'd grab a picture of my car next to a co-worker's 'vette. He came out and took the pictures with his much better camera phone:

and another shot of the GT-R by itself. I'd hoped to get it next to an NSX (they were parked next to each other in the morning), but that guy apparently left or went to lunch or something:

Is the GTR made by Nissan?

Yup, the GT-R is the Nissan car that was all in the press last year.

My Z takes me to work just about every day. It doesn't like being left at home in the garage.

I'm wrapped tightly in a 53-55 coccoon. I really need to get a subscription to Car & Driver or something.:( I have two 53's here and three more waiting in line to be restored....plus one 88 ZR1:mrgreen:.
I "am" learning as much as I can about ZR1's though.

It's pretty neat, there's a lot of cool cars. There's a guy with a Lotus Elise, an NSX and a couple 911's. It's cool to see.

It's an Acura NSX. And in the background you can see a 1st gen CTS-V.

Also, I initially thought it would be cool to park my car next to each one and snap a picture, but a: my phone sucks as a camera and I'm too lazy to bring a real one with me, and b: I'm too lazy to move the car around just for a picture.

Another neat car at work today:

The one on the left I saw the whole way home. Then when I got home, I saw it in the garage as I got out! :D
Dunno if "cars at work" is very interesting to anyone, though? I think it's neat to see some of these cars. There's a guy with an '02 Lotus Esprit, but he doesn't drive it much. I haven't had a camera handy, but will try to get a picture of that.

Is that your Caddy?
Only decent car in the Colonial parking garage I park at work is a E46 M3. I don't know what the deal is but the car sat at the same spot for about 3 months collecting dust. It has been moving around for about a week.

Yes, very cool!
I think it's nice when you have enough car guys in one work place that you don't need to worry so much about parking lot mishaps.
Soooo, how do you like the V Bob? That must be some machine.

Ehh, actually I park fairly far away. At that, it still fills up a bit. But all told, it could be worse. I don't get too concerned about parking the 'vette there.
I like the V quite a lot. Too much maybe. I rarely drive the 'vette anymore. In commuting, the V rides nicer, the brakes and turn-in feel better, and the acceleration is more than enough. The 'vette sounds better, has much higher grip, and accelerates better. But most of that doesn't come into play on the drive to work. And on the drive home in the dark, the V's headlights are about 1000x times better.
Here's another set of cars, thought it was cool they parked next to each other.

That 56 Chevy or the 65 Mustang are the cars !

I hear you loud and clear about the headlight system! I'm reminded of the same thing every time I use my 08 DD. The old sealed beam systems do leave a bit to be desired vs modern lights.
Kind of like driving by candle light when using the Z!
The work force seems to be quite eclectic in their automotive taste!
