...Of the awesome-ness (is that a word? :icon_scra ) of the ZR-1 Brotherhood!
So there was a thread where shaynezrl mentioned that he bought a set of stainless steel bolts for his LT5 for only $65, but he didn't say where he got them from. I PM'ed him and asked for the company info so I could get a set for my '90 ZR-1. He told me and then said he was going to be in the Bay area (where this business is) on Monday and if I wanted he could pick me up a set and send them to me since he noticed I lived far away from there. Sounded good to me!
So he sent me the bolts, I sent him the money and I just got the stainless bolts today! Thanks Shayne!! Nothing like the ZR-1 Brotherhood anywhere!
$65 stainless steel LT5 bolt set  :

To borrow a quote from a Mr. Johnson..."It's not the car, it's the people."
JMHO, our Brotherhood makes owning one of these cars the best!

Is the company on the internet? What is the web site?
Do they sell a kit called "stainless steel LT5 bolt set"?
Exactly what bolts (which component bolts) are in the kit?
Can you list the subcomponent bolt sets?
What is the part number for these Stainless Steel LT5 bolt sets?
It would be nice to have a list of components and bolt size (thread size - diameter, pitch, length) for the LT5. Since we are at it.....torque values for those component bolts ;)

The company these bolts came from is based in Berkeley, CA and the name of the company is Bowlin Equipment Company. Shayne said they don't have a website. They don't have a specific bolt "kit" for the LT5, you just have to order the specific sizes & quantity of the bolts you need. You essentially build your own "LT5 stainless bolt set".
The site Phrogs listed apparently sells them for a similar price online, so you guys could get them from there if you live far away from Berkeley, CA.
The only bolts that were not included are the two external bolts on the top of the airhorn (they are M5 size, length is 16 I think). I'll probably order those from the site Phrogs listed. Phrogs' list though doesn't show the MAP sensor bolts or the throttle body coolant plate bolts. Here is the list of sizes of the bolts I got and what they are for:
(5) M4 x 10 - Throttle body coolant plate bolts.
(2) M5 x 30 - MAP sensor mounting bolts.
(2) M6 x 12 - MAP sensor bracket to plenum mounting bolts.
(6) M6 x 25 - Cam cover front edge bolts (3 per cover).
(8) M6 x 50 - Coolant tube bolts (4 per tube).
(3) M8 x 25 - Fuel connection to fuel rail bolts.
(12) M8 x 25 - Plenum bolts.
(48) M8 x 55 - Cam cover main bolts (24 per cover).
It would be nice to have a list of components and bolt size (thread size - diameter, pitch, length) for the LT5. ;)
OK, this is my personal list of LT5 bolts that I've worked on over the last few years, and it still has a few blanks(yellow) to fill in or confirm. If you find any errors or have good info to fill in, please let me know.

Ben,
Thank you for the kind words, but i was just doing my duty as a zr1 brother. I was glad that i could help you out. Well thanks for letting the guys knows about the bolt kit and where they came from. I have been busy these past few days. Enjoy... Its a nice day today, gonna see if i can get a chance to the car out for a drive.
Shayne
Jerry....Regarding your personal list of LT5 bolts cited above.......For some reason I can only get the first digit to show up on the bolt lengths (everything else shows up perfectly).....what am I doing wrong :dontknow:
I'm not sure, it may have to do with your screen resolution setting since it is a jpg file. Can you rt click on the image, then "save picture as" and save to your computer, then open the file from your computer with "Windows picture & fax viewer"?
