As the heading states, I have no AM reception. It's a stock Bose radio, FM is great and the CD player even works.
Any ideas on why there's no AM?
Thanks

Some comments and ideas from Google "AM radio not working FM works fine" ;)
If the antenna was not connected, the FM would still continue to pull in stations and function to a lesser degree and the AM would not pull in any stations at all.
"I've noticed that after I wash my car or if it rains my AM radio stops working. After a couple of dry days it comes back. I'm guessing that water is getting on the AM antenna connection".
"Just the AM quits, the FM works fine. wiggling the antenna seems to bring back the reception so I guess the problem is at that end".

Pretty sure the antenna is connected. I had to have the CD player fixed and I did the uninstall/install. Wonder if the grounding upgrade shown on Marc's site would fix it?

So....that is when you lost AM?
Then I would say antenna issues (poor grounding).
Marc's grounding upgrade can enhance the quality of FM radio reception.....not saying you get back a lost AM reception

I never really tried the Am before, I was driving it to work and tuned to the traffic station. It possibly hasn't been working for awhile now. I have to pull the console for the clutch this weekend so I'll check everything then.
Thanks

The AM side is completely dead? Or just that it seems it's next to impossible to tune in one AM station without any cross talk from near by stations?
Look at the ant ground on the frame, try doing a variation of the INFLREST treatment and check the reception. If still no good I'd do a call to Dr. Don.
If the AM band is just dead, static or complete silence then I'm thinking CDM box or perhaps a bent pin on the connector at the back of the head unit, or the selector switch could have broken in the FM position.:dontknow:

A call to Doctor Don might help.

Right now having a problem getting the pilot bearing out. Will attack the AM problem after that is sorted out.
Thanks again for all the tips.

Pilot Bearing out, wrong throwout bearing. Bearing on the way, they are not available from normal sources separate from the clutch kits...i.e. parts stores.
Saga continues.
