As I went throught the RPO's for all the ZR-1's, I discovered two that had an odd collection of RPO's. They are:

1991 #551 (VIN = 1G1YZ23J0M5800551) The car is Turquoise with Black interior. Build date: 1990-10-05. It has the following RPO's that are unique to this car or the car below:

H18 - Eaton 21605 2-speed rear axle ?????
134 - Lt Slate Gray Interior Trim (it also has 19I, Black Trim)
100 - Unk
111 - Unk
012 - Unk
151 - Unk
401 - Unk
5BU - Unk
5II - Unk
706 - Unk
815 - Unk
I17 - Unk
plus two that were probably garbled

The other car is 1992 # 240 (VIN = 1G1YZ23J3N5800240) The car is Competition Yellow with Black interior. Build date: 1992-02-04. It has the folllowing list of unique RPOs:

020 - Rear Axle 5.63:1 ??? (It also has the normal GM3 rear end RPO)
H17 - Eaton Rear Axle 19050 2-speed
134 - Lt Slate Gray interior trim (it also has 19I, Black Trim)
204 - Very Sapphire Interior (it also has 193 for Black interior)
401 - Unk
004 - Unk
4BU - Unk
4II - Unk
460 - Unk
470 - Unk
646 - Unk
747 - Unk
I16 - Unk
plus one that was garbled

All of the RPO's listed above do not appear on any other ZR-1.

Does anyone know anything about either of these cars? Could they be special builds for testing?

Scroll down to 1994, there were 2 other one off cars produced also in 1994, look in the exterior and it list both colors and interior colors

There is also a 1 of 1 1994 Yellow with Gray interior, which I own.

The cars I referenced above are unique not because of the color combination, but because of all the other RPO's that they have, that no other cars have.

At the Museum, go see Betty and see about pulling the build sheets for both of the cars.
