They made them years ago, but have long since gone away. I need one for #004 in any condition/color. I know #004 had a ZR-1 emblem on it last, but it would have left BG with the LT-5. Any leads would be appreciated. Eric

I have tried to search for one before and just did about a 30 min search on Corvette Forum, Digital Corvette and CAC. Ran a search thru Ebay and national search thru craigslist and nothing came up. Hope you find one.

Looks like Past & Present Automotive was aquired by Ecklers in 2002. Ecklers no longer sells the LT5 emblem.

Can you make a fiberglass mold of it and do it that way?? Talk to Blue Flame, bet he could help out maybe if someone would let the emblem be used to make copies of it.

Getting them made is simple, it's the Trade Mark Logo that's the problem. That's probably why no-one else has made them, or why they stoppe din the 1st place.

Hey Goldcylon, wanna trade? You got the white one I need! I have one of those in aqua blue, it was the very last one from ZR-1NetRegistry store.
I did open mine, but its still new condition. Otherwise, I'll have to repaint mine (it's opened in this pic, but I did it carefully without ruining the packaging, I just slit the top part & sides with a razor):

Yeah, about 6 years ago when I contacted the folks that had them made and she had a few left, I wish I bought them all. I only bought two and they are on my hood so I guess I better enjoy them until they get stolen or deteriorated.

Well I wonder if it could be CnC'd out of aluminium. I have tried to mold parts in the past and they are hard to get the look right.

Let me talk to a friend that owns a machine shop, if it could be done, I would need very specific measurements to get it right without have it in our possession..
I will get with him this weekend and see what he says about the possibilities.

These could be re popped pretty easy and I dont see what G.M. would make a fuse about somebody making a few of these.Urethane could be used to make the part.I bet Brett could make these, all he needs is one.Would somebody loan one out providing they got it back in the shape it was received?Ive molded parts in the past and could make these but dont have enough experience with this using somebodys part that couldnt be replaced.I can see these showing up down the road.I made my own molds for redesigned mirror fairings and made my own part.Just need the weather to warm up so I can finish these.http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a136/FLYTYM/DSC00640.jpghttp://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a136/FLYTYM/DSC00645.jpg

If the repop includes the Chevy bowtie then GM will have a huge problem with them. They are very protective of their trademark emblems.

Could probably also do it with a water jet or laser cut. It would be done in 5 sections. Base, bowtie, L, T, 5. then epoxied together.

Why not just make a urethane mold and cast them with 2 part plastic. They would then need painted, is all. You could have paint "masks" made on the CNC for painting the different colors.
Is this one of the options?

The reproductions on Fleabay might be an exact copy of the OEM part but the OEM part was crap to begin with,at least in fit and the shape. If you havent seen what these look like on a car check it out next time you see a convertible parked somewhere. This is the reason I made my own set.
I have a 95 Pace Car with them, I have never looked that close at them. Now I am curious..

I dont know if you mean mine or the aftermarket fairings. The OEM fairings fit like crap, and look crappy as well, thats why I made my own.Mine fit better and are longer and close the gap between the fairing and windshield.Initially I was going to make these and sell them but then I found the mirror placement on each car isnt the same.I made these off the placement of the mirrors on my car, tried them on another car and they hit the WS trim. The stock fairings have a flip on the outside edge, mine flatten out as they meet the edge.

I would be willing to take the emblem project on.
I just purchased an NOS emblem on ebay and will have a mold made for a rigid plastic cast part. It will probably take about a month or so to get a urethane mold made for casting parts.
I'll also get a mask made for painting the different colors offered. Once I get the mask made, I'll be able to reproduce any color needed.

Are you talking about the ZR1 front license plate cover? I like that too. I was asking someone about those last week. I think it could be done easily enough. I would need to have one for a pattern that I could return afterwards.

Went from LT-5 emblems to mirror moldings to ZR-1 emblems to front license plate fillers.
Cliff notes: Brett can make a mold of the ZR-1 emblem and mask for painting. Limey has a need for these. Sounds like a deal should be made.
I have LT-5 emblem, Brett should be able to make these too, if he can make the ZR-1 emblems. Eric has a need and others will want one too.
I believe member Bans25, who no longer owns a ZR-1, has the mold for the front license filler with ZR-1 logo. Brett could contact him to see if he will make more or if Brett can buy the mold? Sounds like another potential deal.
I have no idea about the mirror moldings.
Hi
first time posting. If you need an lt5 emblem right now you could make one from an LT1 by cutting the 1 off and adding a 5 . I'v done this before
they made an lt5 emblem.
In BG in 2000 i had one on the rear of my Z and a plant engineer
asked were did i get that emblem as they wer not released to any one.
I told him that i made from a LT1 and added a 5 after the LT,he looked a little closer then said yes i can see just the cut line.
