Assuming that all the snow melts some time in the next 6 weeks, I am looking at scheduling the WMD for the LT5 Teardown on the last weekend in March (27-28) or the first weekend in April (3-4). The next available weekend would be 17-18 April.

Phil, what works for you? Rick, can we get the motor here by then? Everyone else, preferences please.

Here is our official WAZOOO T-Shirt model displaying the "WAZOO - I was there..." event T-Shirt:

I will be asking for sizes of attendees once we get the date set.

This will be a great event to start the WAZOO, 2010 Season

I will make any date work for me.

Jim,
I need to schedule for oil pan gasket, oil change, rear wheel bearings and roll bar bushing.
"C" beam plate can wait 'till clutch replacement.
Also, don't forget your LTPWS!

No problem on my end for the dates, will leave it up to Phil to confirm the date. I will drive the engine down solo, if I could still find it :dontknow: Don't worry Phil I will bring my loader home with pallet forks so I don't have to use the Eygptian technique :notworthy

Count me in for either dates... April 10+ is out for me since I will be way south... as Cayman south. Look forward to the gathering and cool T shirt:dancing

April 4th is Easter Sunday so the last weekend in March (27-28) or 17-18 April works better for me.

Rick, we can move the engine down before then if you need to make room for the return of your Z.

BTW Jim, what is that AB Z doing squatting on your lift?

Sharp eyes my friend. Would you believe that I heard you were bidding on an AB, so I had to buy one? ;)

However, you may recognize the wheels. :eusa_shhh

OK, I agree about Easter, good catch.

I will start planning for Saturday, 27 March. :occasion1

Rain Day will be Sunday, 28 March and our "snow isn't gone yet" day will be Saturday, 17 April.

I will be putting out a WAZOO eMail soon.

Sorry Jim, I'm having a hard time checking them out due to that bright white tee shirt you are wearing snow blinding me.
Can you post up another pic that give us a better look?

Hey Phil, she is not in the way. I have plenty of room, I have actually been upgradeing the Z cave the past several weeks. I will post pics when I get closer to completion.

Is that David's old wheels? Looks beautiful.
Do you happen to have a pair of B. F. Goodrich KDs -315s you may not need?

Why the tear down?

Why the tear down?

"Just for the fun of it!" - actually from what I understand, Jagdpanzer wants to stroke it out to 427. I presume after the disassembly internals will be inspected and heads sent out for mod.
Maybe Phil will chime in and add more detail.

Why the tear down?

Shop policy. Any ZR-1 left more than 2 weeks will be disassembled. ;)

Why the tear down?

I've been wanting to do an LT5 build project for sometime but couldn't stand the thought of not having my Z in running condition for whenever I wanted to drive it. Fortunately I was lucky enough to find this long block http://www.zr1.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10794&highlight=long+block&page=2 (http://www.zr1.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10794&highlight=long+block&page=2) for a modest price to start the project off with. First step is to tear it down to see what kind of condition it is in. Then the plan is to built it back up with a 4.0" stroker crank I recently acquired. Not decided yet if it will be a 402 or a 427. Either way would be fine with me and, just a question of $$$. A fun project to do with my two sons and WAZOO pals.

go 427, there is something magical about that number

might want to take a look at the new liners pete has done, they look pretty good!
