I am glad that I have a ZR-1 and not a Boxter, 996, or a Cayman. Not that I could afford one of those anyway.
It's interesting that Porsche went away from the Niksal to that Lokasil and that the liners are kind of actually not like our liners, removable. I wonder what the air cooled 911 liners were like?
I also kind of feel that having an open deck isn't such a negative? If it is okay by the Porsche engineers and the Lotus engineers then I should not worry too much.
I got a kick out of the realization that the AutoFarm guys are doing what other engine builders are doing with respect to the closed deck type liners that are used on the big displacement LT5's. I was thinking great gear heads all think alike!
