"GO COLTS!!"

Ya know, one has to think.

They didn't name the Lions, Kittens.

They didn't name the Rams, Lambs.

They didn't name the Jets, the BiPlanes.

It's the Atlanta Falcons, not Sparrows.

How about them Philadelphia Hummingbirds? Oops, I meant EAGLES!!

And how 'bout them Chargers? Maybe the Squaredancers?

Can you imagine if they called the Giants, the Mighty Midgets??????

SO why did they name them the "Colts". Was it too much to call them the Stallions?

Me think s them poor 'lil milk drinkin' farm boys gonna get a big whoopin from them BIG BAD CAJUN boys down south.

They didn't name them the BoyScouts. They named then THE SAINTS!!

Jus thinkin on a quiet Sunday morning....

You should be asking: Why would a team in Baltimore have a team named after a horse? I was a COLTS fan before Ursay stole them away to Indy. I never understood why a team from one of the most urbanized cities in the country chose a farm animal name that had little to do with its history? I HATE the RAVENS, but at least that moniker is identified with Baltimore and the history of Edgar Allen Poe.
