A friend of mine is giving me a ZF six speed out of a 95 BMW 8series. I was wondering if it will be the same as a Vette ZF or will at least will some parts interchange?

I'm pretty sure the ZF S6-40 was only used in the Corvette and the Lotus Carlton/Omega?

This seems to suggest the trans model names were the:

S6S-560 in the 850CSi and the S6D-420 in the 850i.
