We have WMD's - Westminster Maintenance Days

On 16 January the shop will be open for another WMD. We will be installing a water pump and replacing the coolant hoses in Rich's car.

The left bay (no lift) is open for anyone that wants to pull in and get some work done. Bring your own parts, I've got tools.

Start time is 8:00 AM.

Everyone is invited. Come as you are.

It looks like the weather is going to be nice. Several people have told me they are coming.

Hey Yun, can you help me trouble shoot a Service Ride Control light?

Thanks to everyone for coming out and making WMD a success. Rich got his water pump and hoses installed and everything is A-OK.

We had 7 ZR-1's, a Ford GT and a new Cadillac with the LS9 in it!

:thumbsup:Thanks to Yun (SecondChance) for fixing my Service Ride Control issue. It was a broken gear on the right front shock. Since we had Yun's old shocks standing by for rebuild, we had a replacement gear handy. 20 minute job!

Sorry I couldn't make it this time guys.
Rich, glad to hear your Z is back on the road.
Where did you find a good water pump and did you also replace the belt tensioner pulley?

Wow, sounds like I picked the wrong weekend to go! Instead of freezing and having to duck Rick throwing a crappy rebuilt pump at me, I could have been enjoying the weather while checking out a GT and CTS-V!

Phil,
Glad to get my Z back on the road, thanks to everyone for all their help and Jim for the excellent loaner program . Be glad to stop spending sleepless nights monitoring Ebay and Craigs List for used 90 parts

Got the pump from "The Parts Ladi". Was a perfect fit and had the proper GM gasket with it. Picked up a tensioner pulley, but it was the wrong siize , thats an easy one to replace, I'll get one from Kurt.

Rich,
Did the new pump solve the strange engine noise issue that started this whole adventure?

You are welcome, Rich. I would like to replace clutch and while i am at it tranny seals would be good since rear is leaking.
Also, next oil change, I am up for oil pan gasket.

Let me know when you start getting parts for the cluch so we can consult each other and simplify shipping.

Is the CTS-V really an LSA motor? Or did the owner spend a ton of money swapping in an LS9?

I made reservations at the Holiday Inn University Plaza:

If 85 mph is a problem, maybe Terri can ride with David. Everyone knows that Admiral Blue ZR-1's are the slowest! ;)

Good news for Terri, many other wives are going including Haibeck's wife!!! Should be good activities and there is a free shuttle to the NCM if they want to come and go.
