One of the local car mills has a nice 90 for sale but I cant figure out the air cleaner on this one.On the left side of the housing there is a nipple, as seen with the red cap.I didnt know this type of housing was produced in 90 and there is a threaded bung on the right side that one of the sensors that was mounted in the air horn is now mounted in the housing.I recently bought a new air cleaner housing for my car that has this nipple on the left front of the housing. When I asked the parts guy about this I was told this was a later design.http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a136/FLYTYM/-97ef60379572a2dd52dd7ec8e0cb98b73a.jpghttp://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a136/FLYTYM/-a6b0280a1b86f329f0fa8388ef6c1e1cf1.jpg

Air housing for a L98/LT1 car. Fresh air feed for the air injection came of the air cleaner assembly. The ZR-1 had it's own intake snout.

The sensor on the driver side is a relocated IAT sensor.

This cars got 2600 miles,is there a benefit to having this AC housing.Just seems a little odd that such a low mileage car would have a replacement AC housing.

No benefit. Actually a detraction since it is such low miles. The factory housings can crack at the seams which is why people replace them.
