Unobtanium. I don't think I have seen a new one ever. Just high quality used ones all the way down to garbage.

Trying to fix the led hole that is in yours?

Yeah, you probably won't ever find a new one of those. And if you do, whoever has it will probably want like $300 for it.

I need one of those too, as mine has the radio hole hacked up. I'd settle for a decent condition used one, but even those are hard to find. You would think that with over 3,000 90's made, they would be a little easier to find.

Yeah I was going to chime in here when you said you were looking for a "new" one as well. Keep looking im sure one will turn up. I had the same problem were the previous owner had drilled in three sets of LEDs into the panel for some type of alarm system and cut the crap out of the radio area. It truely is a one year only bezel. Good luck

I figure this bezel will cost an arm and leg. Just hope someone has a nice one stashed they are willing to part with....

Thanks i will do that..I have bought some stuff from Jim before...

Question:
Will a non-ZR-1 bezel fit on a ZR-1? There is some on E-bay for $50.

It will, but you will need to figure out how to mount the power key assembly. If you've bypassed the power key, then no problem at all :)

Cut a hole in it.

Not to be sticking my two cents where it don't belong,, but if it's just an LED hole you can fill it with plumber's epoxy. You know that stuff the hdw store sells in the tubes.

To make a smooth finish on the out side of the fill just get a stiff piece of cellulose like those clear file folders or a small piece of wax paper will work.
You want to use it as a dam to press the epoxy against. A bit of baby oil will work as a polishing lube to insure a glass smooth surface. The crinkle paint for our interiors that MAD or CC or ZIP sells is a great match...just shake the chit outta the can before shooting. I used it to re-shoot my bezel and it's a very, very close match.....not 100% but 95+%.

Or...I just had a bfo. Go get one of those :gel-coat repair kits. It comes with the acetate film for the smoothing operation and a polyester or epoxy mending filler compound.

Tom

to mask off the lettering I used scotch tape.

I totally agree with Tom. I redid mine and it looks brand new and I searched and searched to find a match: Duplicolor Truck, Van and SUV, T299 Dark Shadow Gray; I could not get the aerosols shipped to me and I believe one of the Corvette suppliers has the console color match. I found the duplicolor at Checker's. If a new one shows up it will probably sell for $500 or more. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Thanks All.. But its not the LCD hole that bugs me it is the broken clips on the right side. The bezel has a 1/4" gape between the radio and bezel. I will post a picture later today.

From what Ive seen pop up on Ebay over the last 5 years, Im convinced if Jimmy Hoffa had anything to do with the LT5 development Program that indeed he too would be in Jim's attic ;)

Anything under $200 is a good deal.

I have a few of them in my parts bin that I bought years ago but they were all pricey.

oh yeah usually I wouldn't let one go for under $200 but I can't really remember what I sold it for but usually over $200
