Maybe the WWW is slower world wide because Al Gore who invented it is now too busy trying to save us all from an early death from Global Warming

Einstein described this phenomenon in his Special Theory of Relativity. The phenomenon is called special relativistic time dilation. It basically states that as the velocity of an observer increases, the observer perceives events around him to slow down (time wise). So, it logically follows that if you leadfoots would all slow down, the web site would run faster.

Okay, it seems that other people are seeing the same thing......so I guess it's not my equipment?:dontknow:

I have been having the same issues. All other pages I go to are fine. It is just here that it is way slow. It is not the internet connection that is slow. It is the Database server that is choking. Takes 25-40 seconds for me to get any response. Its been horrible just looking at posts here. Usually this forum is fast.

I can see why...you are low on brake fluid. You better get a jug of that out and fill'er up before it goes dry.

Do like I do or like Jeffvette does.....
I open a thread and then go and remove some component on the Z :sign10:, come back and look at the thread.
Or as Jeffvette does...open several threads in separate windows

I just now checked in and what ever you did seemed to have worked. The site is flying on my PC now. I remember it used to load this quickly a while back but not lately.
ZFactor you be Da Man!
Okay, this is strange. My initial log in flew. When I hit the " Post reply" it flew, but when I hit "submit reply" it went back to it's usual slow response. Other clicks on different threads, different section etc are /or seem to be progressively slower in loading. Okay, the edit seems to work fast, even posting the edit is fast.
Alright this is what I'm observing. Initially logging on was fast. Selecting a section to load was fast. Selecting a thread with in the section was fast. Hit the post reply button was fast. Hit the submit reply was slow. Edit button was fast, but now on this edit to load the edit post box was very slow. Also, I went to another section and it loaded the section quickly, selecting a thread to read was quick, replying in that thread was quick to load the reply page, but when hitting submit reply it slowed way down to respond to the button.
Okay, I may not be helping at all so I'll stop at this point.

We appreciate the effort Tom because sometimes different issues help to diagnose what the problem is. We are getting a decent amount of DB errors since the upgrade along with it being intermittently slow.
Hopefully we will get it resolved soon.
