I called DRM and ordered all shock bushings except for rear uppers (since I have already installed these).
These are 2 packages I got from them. As to where they go, I am sure, can be figured out as I disassemble but not sure whether I got all the pieces I need.
Those who have already replaced these pieces chime in and let me know if I am missing something?

Yun, all I can say is that the second picture is the upper shock mounting replacement bushings. The first picture I assume contains all the fixings to do the lower shock mount at the rear(?) shocks. I know that the uppers for front & rear look the same so I assume that they are identical.
:o I have the front upper kits. I didn't order the lower rear kits or the extra kits for the rear upper bushings. I didn't even install my new front uppers yet. I'm not too pleased with how the ride harshness turned out after doing my front sway bar to frame mounting bushings in poly, and the poly end link kits. Also, I remember Ron ( our President ) had his OE upper shock bushings replaced with poly bushings and there was a "seating" issue. The thread maybe here or over at CF in the Z section. He lost an actuator gear(?) due to the poly bushings not being "compliant" enough upon initial install. I guess the "crush rate" is different than the rubber OE bushings when you T/Q down the top retaining nut and the bushings didn't flatten out enough and caused the gear to end up too high. It took a bit of driving ( as I understand the situation ) before the gear quit. The bushings had to deform a bit from use(?) although I'm not 100% on the whole story. That's why I never did mine!

Well, I forgot.
Went to online banking statement and I see no charge from them. There is no invoice in the box either.
Could this have been sent by the Santa Clause?:dontknow:

Yeah. I remember that post.
I guess I will disassemble and reassess what will be replaced.
When I talked to the DRM sales guy I was told poly was the only version they had.

The second picture is the front shock bushings.
The first picture, kind of hard to say with out seeing them out of the package. It could be the rear bushings, but it also reminds me of the sway bar bushings. It'd help to have a size comparison.
And there are no rubber shock bushings anymore.

I hear you Pete! I just picked my parents up at the airport. They came in from West Palm Beach. My pops was saying how cold it was & that next year for Christmas that I & my sisters should fly to their place for Christmas.
Merry Christmas to all the Brothers Of The Beast!
Yun, I was thinking about the bushing r&r for the uppers and what I was going to do was install them, disconnect the harness for the actuators & remove same, put the shocks in w/ new bushings & go drive the car around to "compress" the bushings and then measure to see if I had the 5mm gap to see if they settled. The fronts are easy, but the rears will be some work. Sorry, I don't have a better idea! :dontknow:
What are your thoughts on this?

What are your thoughts on this?
I had rear uppers replaced about a year ago. Wasn't thinking at the time - bushing having to settle.
Check light stayed on for a day and then mysteriously went off.
What I would do for the rear is go ahead and replace and, let it settle for a while. It's cold now and will resist compression for awhile. I would disconnect the whole system until it gets warm.
Gears are abou $25 each from Captain Z but the actuators are what, $250 or so each? I know it's pain in the butt but what can you do?
Fronts are easier to deal with. I am going to torque it down, see if it binds and if it does bind, pull the actuators, drive around, tighten and try again.
I was hoping to replace all 4 shocks and front upper control arm (new piece, shock bushings and 4 shocks are sitting in the car) but it's snowing like hell (or should I say Canada?) and no way I will be able to drive to Jim's tomorrow.
I think I will just take a day off before Christmas...
Merry Christmas, y'all!:hello:
