Just an advance notice here on the ZR1NetRegistry.

Jerrys Gaskets will be adding new and used LT5 engine parts to the product line. The first additions will be showing up in January, just as soon as I can get the parts inventoried, photographed and described into the website.

Thanks to the Registry for allowing me to post Jerrys Gaskets here and thanks to all the fantastic support from the members. You made the gasket & seal project possible.:handshak:

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

You guys need to understand that it's a disease that started with the 29 LT5 engines deal I had a few years ago. I'm fascinated with the LT5 and hoard this stuff. I need you all to help me get this monkey off my back! :sign10:

Wow, were those purchased over time, or all test engines?

Putting up a picture like that is a good way to draw a crowd Jerry.

Good luck on your parts business! I am looking forward to seeing the list.

The engines, except for a couple I kept, have been gone now for a couple of years. They were the last of the big pkg GM unloaded a few years back. There were a couple of Phase II engines and 3 engines that were in the active handling cars. The majority appear to have been used for dyno and in-car testing. Only about 3 of the lot appeared to have been associated with warranty returns. I really enjoyed just tinkering around with the stuff. They were/are part of the LT5 history.

That's really cool! The coolant pipes are switched :)

There are two holes in the water pump... what do you think they were for?

The coolant pipes were on the engine that way. I always thought that they did that on purpose to make for better access to look while the engine was running on the dyno.

There were holes (1/8 NPT) in several places on the engine, for instrumentation probes.

Was just over on DRM's LT5-Parts.com and found the following note posted:

http://www.lt5-parts.com/30531_59786.asp

About Us
LT5-Parts (www.lt5-parts.com (http://www.lt5-parts.com/)) and Jerrys Gaskets (www.jerrysgaskets.com (http://www.jerrysgaskets.com/)) merged during December 2009. Jerrys Gaskets acquired LT5-Parts from Doug Rippie to further the objectives of both entities. The inventory of LT5-Parts has been relocated and combined with the inventory of Jerrys Gaskets in Oklahoma.

Doug Rippie, DRM MotorSports, has been closely related to and an important part of the ZR-1 Corvette development & history. He will continue to remain a valuable asset to the ZR-1 Corvette community, providing his well known expertise in building & providing components for enhanced handling & performance.

Jerry Downey, Jerrys Gaskets, is an avid ZR-1 Corvette enthusiast and owner. Jerrys Gaskets was formed to provide ZR-1 owners with an alternative gasket & seal source, in a very limited aftermarket for LT5 engines. Quality, both in product & customer service, are the top objectives.

Best of luck Jerry with your new venture and look forward to doing some business with you.

Thank you all. I've been working on getting it all unpacked & out where I can see it and just came in. Still a lot to unpack and organize before I can start adding it to the website. There will be new and used parts which will be clearly marked in the descriptions. What will take time is photos, used parts inspection and writing up the descriptions. Everything will have to be weighed so shipping can be calculated.

It's sorta like an early Christmas, opening boxes. I like messing around with all of this stuff anyway.

Reading all of these flattering and supportive posts makes my old bones feel pretty good. Thank you all! :handshak:

Merry Christmas to everyone.:icon_sant

Good move Jerry. I got tired of calling and being told the frost had heaved the door shut, and then never getting a call back in the spring after the thaw.

When do you expect to get these new/used parts listed on your web site?

During January. As I presently think it will happen, parts will begin to show up once everything is shelved in an organized fashion. Each part will be inventoried, assigned a PN, photographed, described, priced & weighed for shipping purposes before it is put on the website. It will take awhile due to the used parts with the same part numbers that have to be described individually and given a unique PN suffix code. That's going to slow the process down.

Is this the new web site :icon_ques

http://lt5-parts.com/30531_124380.asp

No. That's the old web site. I just edited it to indicate the current status and render the parts list non-functional, since it was incomplete and out of date.

I am keeping the LT5-Parts.com domain name which will ultimately link directly to JerrysGaskets.com which will display both Jerrys Gaskets and LT5-Parts on the header. The plan is, clicking on the LT5-Parts logo will take a customer to the first page of parts.
