Just in case anyone is interested, I thought I would share the u-joints that I ended up buying. After searching and searching locally for Spicer units and looking into the high shipping being charged to get me some, I decided to see what other options were out there. What I found with the Spicers from my research was some of the part numbers changed, etc. and also had to special order from a Spicer dealer here with back order and still not the ones that I wanted from research on the Corvette sites.

So I came across the Performance Dynamics line from Neapco and it seems the 4X4 guys use it and like it for the most part. What I found is they are made in the US and seemed pretty good so far, but not installed or tested on a running Z yet or at the track. I am not saying these are as good as or better than Spicer, just an option that I took in case someone else might be considering

Here is the complete set with 4 u-joints for half shafts and 2 for the driveshaft with the straps and bolts.

Here are some close up shots of just the u-joints.

I try to save money where I can and also a gambling man to try something new even though I know that Spicer is what everyone trys to use and they have the reputation. How will we know if people like me don't try it out, right?

Anyway, what sealed the deal for me was the great deal I got on this and the company willing to ship USPS to me. Here is what I paid for these:

I also wanted to share this site where I bought these from as they appear to be a wholesaler that sells to the public and have many other supplier lines of interest:

Craig, the one thing I will say about those joints, is they are hollow as they do have a provision for the grease fitting. Ask Frank about them and how much he likes them.

Just don't do too many hole shots from neutral and I think those will work out fine. JMHO, I used joints w/zerks on my LT-1 and they worked fine I just didn't do any launches with the car.:o

Frank has 9 million HP & 8.5 million lbs of torque at the rear wheels!
