I never noticed until now that all the gas I see up here in New England says on the pump either "contains 10% ethanol" or "may contain 10% ethanol". Is this a problem especially in light of that those of us up north will soon be hibernating our cars until spring?

Other than attacking the resin used on the coil windings for our fuel injectors there isn't much of a problem. You can use Techron additive every other time you fill up. I was told by C4C5specialist that it will keep the water bound up & clean all the nasty stuff in the fuel system. I try to add a bottle at every fill but I don't let mine go too far below 1/4 tank. I put marine fuel stabilizer in the tank just before winter lay-up along with a big bottle of Techron. I didn't have any issues at spring get ready with water in the fuel & I just waited till that tank was used up before swapping plugs & fuel filter. The alcohol has been in our NE gas for a good long while. It finally killed the OE injectors this summer, shorted the coils when the resin finally disolved. R. C. Engineering injectors solved that problem for me & now it's back to it's old self.
