I just got back from Autorama. That is the biggest car show I've ever been to in my life. And the most beautifully restored cars I've ever seen. Just amazing. Not to mention all the fine tail that was walking around in there "OMG".
I ran into Sanjay and his bro Sajeeve. They're like Siamese twins always together. He asked me if I was going to buy one of the cars there. He must think I'm a millionaire to or something. So I asked him if he was and he said he's always on the lookout for something special. He's way out of my league $$$ (most peoples league). Watching the auction was pretty neat. I saw a 1971 426 hemi challenger convertible go for 75K in about 5 minutes. There were tons of corvettes there. Lots of C1's C2's for NCRS. I don't know how many cars and bikes were there but it had to be at least 2,000 but not one ZR-1 in the whole place. I did see a yellow C4 Zo7 though. Almost makes me want to enter mine in it next year but I just don't know if it's worth all of the hassle and preparation and expense cuz it's not like they pay you to enter it. You pay them. Although it would probably be the only one there. We'll see. But after six hours of walking around that whole place and my allergies kicking my butt and loosing my voice I was ready to go home.

There always is a special place in my heart for 70-74 Challengers. My very first car was a 1972 Challenger R/T, Hemi Orange and black vinyl top and interior w/ 340 backed up with a 727 torqueflite. I had 73 and 71 convertible (383 - 4 speed) later.
Unfortunately, I still remember, after 30 years, how they drove. I love them but I am not so sure if I want to get intimate with her again. Perhaps it's best to keep it a fond memory - just like an old flame...
