Saw these camshafts listed on Ebay and was wondering what year motors have the single flate for the chain sprocket and is 230 duration and 0.415" lift considered stage 1 or stage 2?.

Reginds are stage1 up to 425 lift.
stage 2 are from blanks 440 lift.
stage 3 same 450/454 lift
Those are custom regrinds.
Here is some cam info.

Stage II .237 .237 .440 .440
Stage III .242 .242 .450 .450
LPE
A Cams
Intake .221 .236 .399 .445
Exhaust .221 .221 .399 .399
B Cams
Intake .239 .239 .445 .445
Exhaust .221 .221 .399 .399
C Cams
Intake .239 .239 .445 .445
Exhaust .239 .239 .445 .445
If you buy those install just the Intakes with stock exhausts.
Those exhaust cams are way too big for that Intake cam,i like to see about 12 -15 degrees split between In/Ex.
i.e.
Intake .244 Exhaust .230
Intake .236 Exhaust .221
Intake .230 Exhaust .215
Also don't expect a whole lotta gains with that Intake.
I'm running Intake .236 .425 Exhaust .220 .425
Just my thoughts.

Pete,
I also have in my notes that LPE did some even bigger 244/.454 intakes. Could have been 246 even. I believe Paul Smith's ex-SW car had these puppies.

Pete,
Ever consider writing a book?
Where did you get your cams or is that top secret?
