Make sure you put good pressure on the 17mm socket when loosening, it's not a very deep allen head plug.

The cheapest and easiest way to go is to buy a 17mm hex key cut an inch and a half off the end and use 17mm socket and probably a breaker bar if it has not been off before.

Sears has a short arm 17mm allen wrench for about 9$ that works fine with a cheater.

I used the BMW oil in the tranny and Royal Purple in the rear diff.
Amsoil has replacement trans fluid and diff fluid.

Will one of these on the left work for a 91' differential and will one of these on the right work for a 91' transmission?

Just make sure the trans fluid is the 5w30
These two is what i'm using.
For the diff i always use GM fluid the reason i went with Amsoil i was buying trans fluid and motor oil it was convenient to buy the diff oil at the same time.
FYI you'll still need the limited slip additive from Chevy for the diff.
I found out the hard way.
