There is an Orielly's down the street from my house. And I've spent lots of money there over the years. Anyway there is this chick that works there and she knows cars and parts as good as any gear head I've ever known. Before she lets a customer go out the door with a part she takes it out of the box and thoroughly inspects it. Today at noon I called them up and ordered a starter they said would be there to pick up on my way home from work. So I get there and she brings it out to me and takes it out of the box and says Mmmm! Looks like somebody has been handling this before. Let me go test it. She comes back and says it turns but it doesn't pop out like its suppose to. She looks at the vent tube on it and says this is suppose to let it vent to prevent corrosion and look! It already has corrosion all around the vent tube and she believes it has already been returned once from the other Orielly's that it came from. And it looked like it had been dropped because there was a fresh chip taken out of the casting. She said I can have another one here for you at noon tomorrow. She says I'd hate for you to go through all the trouble to put it on and it doesn't work right. Now thats what I call customer service. Most parts houses don't even take the time to do that.:worship:

Or you could go to http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/home.oap and tell them just what you told us

That is nice. I would feel confident in doing business at a parts store that has people like that lady! I would say something at the web site about that person and how "this is how it should be done".

I'm with Rich on the tip thing also.....a little grease in the gear box never hurt anything!;)

Thats a good idea. I plan to give her props when I pick up the starter today. But going on line at Orielly's site and giving her props would mean allot more. She deserves it.
