I have insurance on the car until the end of the Month but the weather looks like its turning for the worst. I washed her, filled her up with gas and some stabil. Changed the oil today, so now I got the vette parked for the winter. It will be May until I can drive it again.
Anyone else parking their Z soon? Its a curse of living in Canada.

Just tucked mine away as well - same ritual: full tank, stabil, and fresh Amsoil. I drove it 3,500 klm this year - most in a year since I got it, but 2,200 of that was to Bowling Green for the 15th Anniversary of the Nat Corvette Museum. I have some great pictures of the Corvette caravan to BG as well as the laps we did at Indy. I intend to post them as soon as I can get my issues with Photobucket sorted out.
You're right about the winter being a drag, but it makes spring that much more sweet!
Happy Hibernating!

Haven't driven mine for a few...maybe four weeks, been away every weekend running my Stingray the last little while, but I've been charging & un-hooked the battery today...more than likely thats it :dontknow:.

Been crap and rain down this way for the last 2 weeks so no fall romp as of yet --maybe if I am lucky I will get one or two more until layup.

Had both of mine out each of the last 3 nights. Couldn't hook first gear, but second through fourth were alot of fun. I refuse to put them away before November.

I don't officially park mine until Thanksgiving weekend, but if the streets are dry in December I'll take it out for a Christmas drive!
Just got the ZR-1 back yesterday from replacing all the weather stripping. Plan on taking it to the club meeting tonight. 103,000 miles and it keeps on ticking.

I'm still hoping for one more run. But the car is prepped almost ready to sleep for the winter if I dont get chance.

I had the 415 out today. 16 C and sunny. Couldn't hook 1st gear, but 2nd through 4th were pulling like monsters. Forecast is for sunshine all week. Perfect ZR-1 weather!

Was nice here too, 14 degrees and blue skies. Drove across to North Bay for lunch and then drove south and came back around the 534 and 522, a nice cruise in the country. Weather looks set to stay good for a week or two, so maybe I'll keep the Z out a bit longer!

That sucks for you guys up north. Down here we can drive them all year round. Even the drag strip and road racing courses are open.

Awesome guys...from what I understand your summer out East wasn't anything to write home about so good for you all :). Weathers good here too, for this time of year, but not like your talking about.

Yeah the summer was bad, seemed everytime I was going to take the Z out it rained so I didnt - if it wasn't raining when I set out it rained while I was out :)
Nice to get a little extra 'end of season' running!

Hmmmm the best I can explain it, it's like you guys down there going to a bank and asking for a loan... ;)

I think the only thing good about winter for my friends up north is max amount of time for winter modding projects.

Good thread. It's been pretty quite on the forum here lately. I guess we're all out putting miles on. Nice in Toronto all week. Gave my baby a little attention today then took a nice cruise, topped up the tank, added a little stabil and got her ready for a long nap. We'll see how the weekend goes but mid-Nov. is not bad to be enjoying a little road time.

It looks like it should be not too bad tomorrow. Going to cruise down to Parry Sound for lunch and a look around. :)
The stabil is ready though! :(

16 degrees, we had a great time. Nice drive and then poked around the little stores and bought some doodads with Hil.
Really nice day! :)

Had the ZR-1 out today. Sunny, blue skies and 2 C. Traction was an issue. Unfortunately probably the last drive this year, but had it out every weekend this November.

I parked mine on Tuesday. Got a very brief (20 minute) ride at the weekend. No traction in any gear but it was still fun to drive one last time.
Now we have snow... :thumbsdo:

Canada Eh! Have a few more months left before hibernation of ZR-1. Always like taking it out on a nice Indian summer like day in October and putting it away by mid November. Absence makes the heart grow fonder they say. Cheers!
