I will be having another WAZOO Maintenance Day at my garage in Westminster, MD on 21 October. We will start at about 3 PM.

Everyone is invited! Come on over and lets work on some cars. (Or, supervise other people working.)

We will be rebuilding the lumbar pump in a 1993 getting ready for NCRS judging.

The lift will be available. Anyone need an oil change?

If you need directions or more info, post-up, PM or call.

Do you have crazy glue and a duct tape?

Jim,

Put me down for brake flush, front rotor change (rear also time allowing).
My fronts are vibrating when I apply the brake at 70+ leading me to suspect slight warping when heated.

See ya!

Now you know I'm gonna be there....it's my Lumbar Support Pump we gotta repair for judging.

Car gets judged Sunday, Oct. 25th at Adams Chevrolet located at:
1517 Pulaski Highway Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Judging starts at approx 8:30 a.m. and should end around 2 p.m.

Dave, you wanna go up with me and be my second? Maybe I'll see you at Jim's tomorrow.

Big BTW....anyone have a Delco A1097C bone stock air filter element for our cars?? ...the outlet down here that sells them for $16.00 is backordered for a bit and I NEED one for Sunday.

See you tomorrow, guys

Gator, thanks for clearing up that it is your Ruby '93 going for NCRS. People might have wondered about it being my '93.

I wish I could be there when your get your car judged, but I will be at an antique show in Timonium.

See you tomorrow.

Is this just the normal paper replacement filter? Not some original 1990's thing?

If so, I have one. It's take-off, not new, but is pretty clean.

I picked up all four rotors from Phil - thank you for your generosity!
I will have the rear rotors turned in the morning, pick up 2 qts of brake fluid at Koon's Chevrolet and them head up to Jim's around 1:30.

See you guys up there.

Aurora, if it's the delco a10976C stock filter for the C4, that should be the one...what do I have to do to get it?

Just come get it. I guess I should take a look to make sure it has that part number.

Part number is not exactly as you say. It's A1097C, not A10976C.

You are welcome to it, I'm in Leesburg, VA. Seems like kinda a haul for a $10 filter, but if you need one, you need one.

Aurora, thanks for the kind offer. I've located one at a chevy dealer and I'll get that tomorrow. As much as I love the drive out Rte 70 and down 340 to Leesburg the time constraint to get the car ready is coming int play. But, once again, thanks for stepping up.

Maintenance Day was a success. We fixed two lumbar pumps and fixed some minor cosmetic issues on Gator's 1993 and, replaced all four brake rotors and then flushed the brake fluid on Secondchance's 1994.

It was a great afternoon of friends working on cars.

Boy, that was fast!!! Posting, I mean.

Thanks again to Jim for being a gracious host and technical direction as always, Steve and Dave for wise cracking and keeping all entertained, not to mention logistical help, and George for his keen observation and muscle.

In immortal words of Borat, "it was great success!!!".

By the way I am hurting all over (gotta be the age) but what a sense of accomplishment!

Many thanks to Phil for letting me have his "factory original" rotors.

Looks like a great day, sorry I could make it but this pesky job of mine demands I be here...go figure :dontknow:.

Getting ready to pull my batwing for some axle upgrades. No lift yet, so it will be all "on my back work". I'll try to take photos as I go.
